Undergraduate Admissions Officer

St Hilda’s College invites applications for the post of Undergraduate Admissions Officer, based in the small and friendly Academic Office, to start on 1 June 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The person appointed will be a strong team player with a can-do, helpful attitude, excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and work accurately under pressure.

The Undergraduate Admissions Officer has an integral role managing the smooth running of the undergraduate admissions process within the College, working in partnership with the Undergraduate Outreach Officer to ensure that all aspects of admissions and outreach are managed and delivered successfully. It is vital, therefore, that applicants have both a high level of personal organisation and accuracy as well as the ability to engage with school students at outreach events.

The Undergraduate Admissions Officer reports to the Academic Registrar as line manager but also works closely with the Tutor for Admissions. They will liaise with tutors, students, staff, undergraduate applicants, and departments and faculties, so excellent communication skills are essential.

The appointee will be paid on a scale from £35,681 to £41,636 per annum (University Grade 6, current rates), depending on experience.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday 17 April 2026. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the Academic Registrar, Rebekah Unwin, by email or on 01865 276889.

To apply, please email a single pdf file containing the documents below, to rebekah.unwin@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk by 12 noon on the closing date.

  • Completed application form
  • A brief letter of application explaining your interest in the post and how you meet the selection criteria
  • Up-to-date CV

Interviews will be held in the week beginning 27 April.
