The first symbol of St Hilda's was the ammonite, after the legend that Saint Hilda of Whitby turned a plague of snakes into stone. This circle recognises cumulative gifts of between £10,000 and £99,999.

As an Ammonite Circle member, you can expect to receive:

Estoile Circle

£100,000 - £249,999

The estoile appears in the St Hilda’s College crest, commemorating the College’s founder, Miss Dorothea Beale, through the Beale family’s coat of arms. This circle recognises cumulative gifts of between £100,000 and £249,999.

As an Estoile Circle member, you can expect to receive:

• 2 nights of free accommodation in College each year
• Invitation to the annual Principal’s Dinner with Benefactors
• Invitation to select Guest Night dinners and other College events

Unicorn Circle

£250,000 - £999,999

The unicorn in the St Hilda’s College crest derives from the Beale family coat of arms, honouring the College’s founder, Miss Dorothea Beale. This circle recognises cumulative gifts of between £250,000 and £999,999.

As a Unicorn Circle member, you can expect to receive:

• An invitation to join the Vice-Chancellor's Circle

Foundation Fellowship

£1,000,000+

The Foundation Fellowship acknowledges an exceptional lifetime contribution to the College of £1M and above.

Foundation Fellows can expect to receive:

• Election by the College as a Foundation Fellow

• 1 week of free accommodation in College each year
