What sets St Hilda's apart?
St Hilda’s enables sharp minds to find their edge. Our riverside location, immersed in nature and set against the backdrop of one of the world’s iconic cities, provides a unique outlook — with the space to think, innovate and lead any debate.
For more than a decade, we have welcomed male students while staying true to our pioneering female history. Our stunning redesign at Cowley Place and acquisition of new city centre properties means that we can now house every undergraduate for the full duration of their studies. As a result, first choice applications to St Hilda’s have increased significantly.
Our strategic focus for the next five years is to ensure the resilience of our students, the College, and our environment. With your support, we will expand student welfare and mentoring services, support our academics in their work and careers, and strive toward reaching net zero carbon emission status by 2035.
Philanthropy has always been key to realising our ambitions, from the establishment of the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building nearly thirty years ago to the more recent construction of the Anniversary Building. The generosity of alumnae, friends, and partners continues to be vital, especially in recent times, as tuition fees remain less than the cost of provision, and inflationary pressures have hit the Higher Education sector.
I sincerely hope that St Hilda’s has given you an edge in life — the ability to think critically, pursue your intellectual passions, and form lasting friendships. Please explore our Campaign and consider sending the most generous gift you can. Every contribution makes a real difference.
Thank you.
