Student Support
We proudly champion equality and are home to students from all backgrounds, with 63% of our UK undergraduates coming from state schools. Your support can:
- Give students whose schooling was interrupted by the pandemic additional academic support to help them improve and reach the heights that we know they are capable of.
- Strengthen our College welfare team. Over 20% of our students have a disability or long-term health condition, with mental health issues being more common. St Hilda’s has been pioneering in its counselling provision, but your gift could help to deliver year-round services.
- Enhance our facilities for physical wellbeing. As our student body grows, you can help us to improve our facilities for sport and fitness, including a permanent, accessible gym.
- Prepare students for the changing job market, either through helping to fund initiatives that support the development of entrepreneurial skills, or by offering career mentoring and the chance for students to tap into the expertise of our 8,500 alumnae.
I didn’t expect to be able to afford equipment needed to play sports while at St Hilda’s, but the Extracurricular Grant made that possible. I am so grateful to the College for its generosity and attentiveness to students!
