Biography
Shivanii Arun joined St Hilda's College in October 2026 as a Non-Stipendiary Lecturer in Trusts Law. She is also a Lecturer in Trusts Law at Wadham College.
Shivanii completed the Bachelor of Civil Law at Merton College in 2026, winning the Faculty prize in Advanced Property and Trusts. She will go on to begin pupillage at Serle Court Chambers in 2027 following completion of the Bar Professional Training Course.
Shivanii's academic interests lie in the intersections between property theory and doctrine. She is particularly interested in whether the rules defining the scope of property rights are grounded in normative theories of ownership or allocative conventions.
