Biography
Nicholas is a Stipendiary Lecturer in EU Law at St Hilda’s College. He has been a Stipendiary Lecturer in Law at St Hugh's College and was a member of the 2024–25 Faculty of Law teaching team for undergraduate EU Law. He has also delivered tutorials in EU Law for Exeter College. Nicholas is reading for a DPhil in Law as a Merton-Clarendon Scholar, supervised by Professor John Armour and Professor Joshua Getzler.
He has been a research assistant in the Faculty of Law to Professor Luca Enriques and Professor John Armour, and was previously a research associate at the Australian National University Centre for European Studies (ANUCES). He has been a Tutor at the Australian National University's (ANU) Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre and was appointed as a member of the Australian Capital Territory’s Legal Aid Review Committee by the Territory’s Attorney-General. In 2017, he was part of the ANUCES team awarded the ANU Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Public Policy and Outreach.
Prior to Oxford, Nicholas spent almost six years working in financial services regulation in the Australian Government. He was a Senior Legal Officer on the Australian Law Reform Commission’s Review of the Legislative Framework for Corporations and Financial Services Regulation and an Analyst in the credit, banking and insurance teams of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
