Biography

Maxwell Sutton joined St Hilda’s College in October 2025 as a Stipendiary Lecturer in Economics. Max is currently completing his MPhil in Economics at Oxford and is on study leave from the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Max’s teaching interests are in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics for Prelims and the core papers in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Quantitative Economics.

Max's research interests are in Econometrics and Monetary Economics. He uses econometric techniques to understand the transmission mechanisms of monetary policy, in particular non-linearities.
