Professor Dani Prieto-Alhambra

Biography

Professor Dani Prieto-Alhambra is the first Oxford Professor of Regulatory Health Data Sciences.

He is a clinician scientist with over 10 years of clinical experience in the NHS, and an expert in the analysis and interpretation of routinely collected health data to inform drug, vaccine, and device use, safety, and effectiveness.

Dani came to Oxford as a visiting scientist in 2009, and came back as a postdoctoral researcher in 2012. Since then, he has been involved and championed multiple national and international initiatives to generate and implement best practices in the generation and use of real world evidence, with a focus on regulatory sciences and decision making. He leads a multidisciplinary team of over 40 people at the Botnar Research Centre, NDORMS.
