Biography
Alex Horsfall-Turner joined St Hilda’s in 2019. Alex has previously worked in consultancy and finance, as a surveyor, as a capital project manager, and also in asset management.
He has extensive leadership experience and has specialised in construction, building pathology and sustainability.
He holds certified membership with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management and is a Chartered Construction Manager.
Alex is a graduate of University College London, where he gained a BA in Egyptian Archaeology, and he also has an MSc in Building Surveying from London South Bank University.
Additionally, he holds a range of non-executive roles and trusteeships.
As Head of Estates he responsible for the upkeep, improvement and development of the physical environment of the College and its property portfolio. This includes maintenance, gardens, building compliance, utilities, property acquisition and disposal, as well as construction project and programme management. He delivers professional advice in support of the College’s Governing Body across these areas.
