St Hilda's College
This event was in honour of The Society's namesake Dr Pamela Mackinnon, St Hilda's College's first Tutor and Fellow in medicine, extraordinary lecturer in Human Anatomy, co-author of the seminal Oxford Textbook of Functional Anatomy, and driving force behind the inception of the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building.
The Society was delighted to hear from a variety of experienced speakers across a variety of clinical and academic fields including:
- Dr Caroline Lucas, Pamela Mackinnon's daughter.
- Professor John Morris, Emeritus Professor of Human Anatomy.
- Dr Kerry Walker, Associate Professor of Auditory Neuroscience.
- Dr Claire Thomas, Consultant Infectious Disease Specialist.
- Dr Rob Kitchen, Senior Research Leader in Generative AI at Novo Nordisk.
- Dr Helen Turner, Consultant Endocrinologist.
Several students also presented posters on their research projects and shared insights from their internships and entrepreneurial experiences.
