Graduation Celebration Booking Form - 7 November 2025

Thank you for booking a place at the St Hilda’s College Graduation Celebration on Friday 7 November 2025.

Please complete the following form by Friday 19 September 2025 in order for us to make appropriate arrangements for your Graduation Celebration.

Please note: you will need to make a payment on the St Hilda's College website before submitting this form. More information about how to do this is available in the 'Payment' section below.

At the end of this form, there will be an option for you to receive a receipt of your responses. Please ensure that you select this option so that you have a copy of your responses for your own records.

Graduation Gown and Hood

You will need to arrive at College dressed in sub fusc (including your mortar board) before putting on your graduation gown. Please note by sub fusc we mean the clothes worn under your student gown, not the gown itself. Unless you are having your DPhil conferred, you will not need to bring your student gown. Information about sub fusc requirements is available here: https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/dress

The College will arrange the hire of your graduation gown and hood for the ceremony. This will cost £45.

Please note that your graduation gown is not the same as your student gown and you will not be allowed to gradu­ate in person without the correct gown and hood. We strongly advise that you hire your gradua­tion gown through the College to ensure that no mistakes are made.

Payment

You are welcome to bring up to two guests to your graduation ceremony. Tickets for the ceremony are free of charge but are strictly limited to two per graduand due to space restrictions in the Sheldonian Theatre. Ceremony tickets will be available for you to collect and distrib­ute to your guests on the day.

You are welcome to bring up to five guests to the drinks and canapés reception in College afterwards. You will be charged at £22.50 for your first three guests, and £15 for any further guests. The re­ception is complementary for graduands themselves.

The amount payable depends on whether you hire a gown and whether you attend the reception with guests. You will be charged £22.50 for each of your first 3 guests, and £15 for any further guests. You can bring a maximum of 5 guests to the reception.

Please pay online at https://www.st-hildas.ox.ac.uk/make-a-payment. For the ‘invoice number’ field, add "DegreeDay071125" and your surname (e.g. ‘DegreeDay071125Smith’).
