2027 Book Launch: Helen Swift and Sophie Marnette

We are delighted to welcome the St Hilda's alumnae community to join our current students and staff to celebrate the launch of Professor Helen Swift's new book, La Chastelaine de Vergi: Encounters in Medieval Literary Space. The book traces the literary history and cultural afterlife of a thirteenth-century French romance from its medieval origins to early modern and modern reinventions.

Alongside her co-editor, Sophie Marnette, Professor Swift will introduce a dramatic reading of some of the texts featured in the book, followed by a lively discussion. The launch will include a drinks reception, and the opportunity to buy La Chastelaine de Vergi at a 50% discount. Alternatively, if you’d like to purchase an eBook or hardback in advance, you can use a 35% discount code to order online now.
