Chef de Partie

St. Hilda’s College is looking for a Chef de Partie as we are increasing our team to support additional banqueting facilities in our new building.

The successful candidates should have a passion for food, and we welcome and support new and creative approaches to cooking.  We are looking for team players, who will support the wider College team and their colleagues but who are also able to work on their own initiative.

Conference Porter

St. Hilda’s college has recently created a new role of Conference Porter in order to support set up, preparation and servicing of teaching and conference rooms, set up food and beverage services in rooms and support internal and external customers.

Second Chef

Alumnae and Academic Events Lead (Maternity Cover)

St. Hilda’s College is looking for a full time Alumnae and Academic Events Lead (Maternity Cover) for up to one year from June 2022. The person appointed will focus on support and administration of the College’s alumnae and academic events programme but will also be required to work closely with colleagues in support of all events held in College, including teaching, music events, conferences, meetings, summer schools and weddings.

Casual Lodge Porters

We are looking for Casual Lodge Porters to work as part of our small and friendly Lodge team. Work will include night shifts, weekends and some weekdays. We are ideally looking for someone who is flexible and could be available to work at short notice if required.

Successful applicants will work well in a team, have experience of working in a customer service environment, be computer literate and have a flexible approach to hours and duties.

Stipendiary Lecturer in Philosophy

St Hilda’s College invites applications for the fixed-term post of Stipendiary Lecturer in Philosophy for one year from 1 October 2022. 

The Lecturer will be expected to deliver eight contact hours of teaching per week during term, averaged over three eight-week terms, and prepare and mark collections (termly college tests). The postholder will be required to give tutorials in at least two elements of the "Introduction to Philosophy" course taken by first-year philosophy students.
