Sustainability
The community at St Hilda’s is committed to reducing environmental impact in all areas of the College’s work while contributing to the University’s sustainability targets. We are reviewing our energy use, waste management, commitment to sustainable food and to enhancing the biodiversity of our site. St Hilda’s adopted a revised investment policy in 2018 to meet the challenge of climate change. As an educational and research institution, our interest in and commitment to sustainability also reaches beyond practical changes to the day to day running of the college. We support a range of environmentally related research across many disciplines, and value our role in widening debate and raising consciousness of these, the most pressing issues of our age.
