Visitors to South Building, our accommodation buildings, and the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, should use the College entrance by our flagpole gates and report to the Main Lodge on South Lawn. Visitors to Hall Building should enter via Hall Lodge, on Cowley Place. Both Lodges are marked on our College map.

If you cycle to St Hilda’s College, you will find cycle racks at the beginning of Cowley Place. We advise you to use these if possible, as we now have more limited bike parking on site due to our construction work. If the public cycle racks are full please report to the Porters’ Lodge. Members of our Lodge Team will be able to direct you to appropriate bicycle parking on site.

St Hilda’s College is easily accessible by public transport. Coaches from London, and from Heathrow and Gatwick airports, run at regular intervals throughout the day and night, and stop a short distance from the College on St Clements. The 400 park and ride bus also stops on St Clements.

The central Oxford coach station and train station are within walkable distance (circa 25 mins) or are only a short bus or taxi ride away. Local buses from both stations (the U1, 4A, 4B and 4C buses) all stop close to College on St Clements. Taxi ranks can be found outside the main entrance to both stations.

Parking in Oxford is always difficult and often expensive. If you intended to drive, please leave allow some extra time to find car parking. Limited street parking may be available in Cowley Place with a three-hour maximum stay. Please make sure you check relevant signage before parking. The nearest public car park is at St Clements.

The College recommends use of the city Park and Ride facilities. The 400 Park and Ride Bus stops on St Clements. Its route runs across town from Thornhill Park and Ride in the east of the city to Seacourt Park and Ride to the west. Thornhill Park and Ride is particularly convenient for drivers from London, and those using the A40 and M40. Seacourt Park and Ride which is just off the A420 is convenient for those using the A34, and those coming from Swindon and Bath.

There is NO unallocated parking on site at St. Hilda’s. Visitors with mobility issues are advised to enquire by email about availability of parking; 72 hours advance warning minimum is required in order to avoid delays or difficulties on arrival.
