We are thrilled to invite you to a very special event on Thursday 8 May. Each year since 2012, a prize named in honour of alumna Diana Livesey (Rose, PPE, 1958), has been awarded to a student of St Hilda's College who demonstrates exceptional skill in a submitted essay.
The Diana Livesey Memorial Prize rewards spirited and fearless engagement, incisive argument, and a love of debate matched with a love of language. In keeping with the spirit of the prize, following this year's award, we are honoured to have Rory Stewart OBE, Diana Livesey’s nephew and son of Sally Stewart (Rose, PPE, 1954), joining us for a talk and Q&A session focused on 'The Power of Debate'. The Q&A session will be hosted by JCR President Melinda Zhu (PPE, 2023).
This free of charge event will take place at 2:30pm in the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building.
