Dr Sarah Snelling

MSc DPhil Oxf

Biography

Dr Sarah Snelling studied Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at St Catherine's College Oxford, and has a DPhil in Musculoskeletal Science from the University of Oxford.

Dr Snelling's work focusses on how the responses of endogenous cells to implanted biomaterials can modulate inflammation and improve repair of damaged soft tissues like tendon and cartilage. To better understand the environment in which these biomaterials are implanted, Dr Snelling also investigates the activity of key mediators of inflammation and fibrosis in osteoarthritis and tendon disease.
