Biography
I am a lecturer in law at St Hilda’s College teaching Jurisprudence. I also provide tutorials to undergraduate law students in the Jurisprudence course at Jesus College and Hertford College.
I am currently completing my DPhil in Jurisprudence at Hertford College. My research focuses on law and language, legal interpretation, the rule of law, and legal epistemology, paying particular attention to arbitrariness in judicial decision-making and ambiguity in language. In particular, I am interested in questions of degree that arise in law and legal contexts.
I am a founding and executive member of The Collective of Women in Legal Philosophy, a group created to promote and support women in legal philosophy and legal theory, and currently co-convene the Oxford Jurisprudence Discussion Group (2023-2025). I also provide research assistance to Professor David Enoch.
Before starting the DPhil, I read law as an undergraduate at Kent Law School, in the UK, for which I received several awards for best performance.
