Our Aluma in Focus is Lady Bullard, a long-time friend of the College. Lady Bullard gathered with friends and family to celebrate her 95th birthday here at St Hilda's in June. We were delighted to host her and her loved ones in our Pavilion for a luncheon.
Lady Bullard has led a fascinating life alongside her late husband, Sir Julian, who had a distinguished career as a diplomat. In her most recent book, Endangered Species, Lady Bullard takes us through a series of incredible stories about life in the Foreign Office. The book was reviewed by Matthew Parris in The Spectator, where he praised her "sharp, funny, unsparing account of diplomatic life."
As is typical of her character, Lady Bullard is donating all proceeds from her memoir to St Hilda's. You can order a copy and take a look at her other books here.
We are very grateful to Lady Bullard for her ongoing support and generosity towards St Hilda's.
If you know of a Senior Member who you feel should hold their own Alumnae in Focus spot, send us an email to let us know!
