Please contact the Head of Accommodation and Housekeeping if you would like to arrive before 7 October.
- Do I need to apply for accommodation?
-
All new undergraduate freshers are assigned a standard room on-site. There is no need to apply as rooms are automatically allocated.
- What happens when I first arrive?
-
Please log in to the college website in advance to book a move-in slot. Bookings for this will open on 16 September and should be made using the online 'College portal' (link on main menu page of this website); you will need to have completed your University registration to access the bookings page.
On arrival, you will be met by current second-year students who will help you carry your belongings to your room and will then take you to registration to collect your student card, and from there to the social activities organised by this year's JCR Committee so that you can meet other freshers.
- Is there parking on the day I arrive?
-
Yes. However, due to space restrictions and the volume of cars, you will only be given a 60-minute slot to park and unload your things. It is not possible to park for longer than 60 minutes.
- What should I bring?
-
One of our current students has created a useful guide.
- When and how do I pay my fees?
-
You will be invoiced for your course fees at the start of October. These will be invoiced for the year in full, and are payable by the 7th day of Full Term, as per the University regulations. Details of how to make payment will be included on the invoice. If your fees are being paid by a scholarship agency, you should let us have their details as soon as you receive them to allow us time to forward the invoice to them before the deadline. Any queries relating to payment of fees should be directed to our Accounts Office.
- When will I get my University Card?
-
All undergraduates must register within 48 hours of arrival. At registration, you will collect your University card. If you are in the UK on a visa you must bring your passport and BRP card/share code to registration.
- Where can I obtain an official document confirming my enrolment?
-
Once registered you will be able to print off your Enrolment Certificate from the Student Self-Service website. You will need this certificate if you plan to open a bank account. The College Academic Office will stamp and sign your certificate once you have printed it out.
