Biography
Chris Wood joined St Hilda's as Bursar in 2020. Chris worked previously in finance and leadership roles for a wide range of public, private and not-for-profit organisations both in the UK and internationally. Most recently, as CEO and managing director, he led firms operating in the vocational education and corporate clothing sectors.
In addition to his College responsibilities, Chris acts as in a non-executive capacity for several public and private organisations, including the House of Lords, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and the Valuation Office Agency. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Chartered Marketer, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is a graduate of St Andrews University, where he gained a BSc in Mathematics & Psychology, and from the Saïd Business School, where he gained a PgDip in Strategy & Innovation.
