This page is for new St Hilda’s Visiting Students who are due to join the College in October 2024.
Please read everything on this page carefully, as it contains very important information about preparing for your arrival at St Hilda’s.
You should find here everything you need to know about starting life in College. If you cannot find the answers to your questions here, you are welcome to email:
- the Director of Visiting Students with academic queries
- the Accounts Office with financial queries, including payment of fees
- the Accommodation Office with accommodation queries; if you are coming from overseas and wish to arrive on 4 or 5 October, please inform the Accommodation Office in advance)

Now:
- read your Welcome Letter from the Academic Registrar
- read the Freshers' Welcome Guide
- read the Student Handbook
- read the Freshers’ Week Timetable
By 1 September:
- Sign and return your student contract, together with a passport-sized photo, to college.office@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk
- Complete the St Hilda’s Freshers’ Form
- Complete the NHS (National Health Service) registration
After 1 September:
- Complete your University Registration. You will be sent your IT activation code and log-in details to your personal (non-Oxford) email address. Your password and log-in is called your Single Sign On (SSO), which is the Oxford system for accessing a range of IT services, including Student Self Service.
