St Hilda’s History Society is delighted to welcome Richard Ovenden, Bodley’s Librarian and Head of Gardens, Libraries & Museums at the University of Oxford, for a special lecture on Tuesday, 19 May.
Richard Ovenden has written widely on the destruction of knowledge and on the history of photography, and brings a unique perspective from his role overseeing one of the world’s most significant research libraries. In this lecture, he will reflect on his work at Oxford, the responsibilities of preserving knowledge in the modern age, and his own historical research. The talk will be followed by a Q&A.
We warmly invite all alumnae to join us for what promises to be a fascinating event.
