St Hilda’s College is seeking a full-time Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach Officer to cover a period of maternity leave. This post offers a good opportunity for someone with excellent organisational, IT and inter-personal skills, and an interest in the aims of higher education, to play a significant role in two of the College's most important functions: the admission of undergraduate students, ensuring that the administration of the admissions process is maintained and developed at a high level; and developing and delivering current and future outreach opportunities to attract high calibre undergraduate applicants.

This is a maternity cover post, available on a fixed-term basis from 1 August 2023 for 12 months. It may also be offered as a secondment opportunity for those currently working in a University department.

The Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach Officer administers the undergraduate admissions process, which runs roughly from November to January, in its entirety. During the rest of the year, they will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of a coherent outreach programme for the College and to represent the College publicly at university and intercollegiate meetings and outreach events. They will work closely with the Outreach Officer and will line manage part of the Tutorial Officer's duties, as well as liaise regularly with tutors, students, staff, undergraduate applicants, teachers, departments and faculties, and relevant University offices. They will be supported by other members of the office team during busy periods.

The appointee will be paid on a scale from £30,502 rising to £36,386 per annum (University Grade 6, current rates), depending on experience.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 12 April 2023. Further particulars, including details of how to apply, may be downloaded  below.
