Thanks to Neil Hyatt (Head of Buildings & Projects) on his retirement

Last week, St Hilda’s bade a fond farewell to Head of Buildings & Projects, Neil Hyatt, who retired after five years at the College. During his time here, Neil managed a number of important building developments for St Hilda’s, including, most recently, the Anniversary Building and Pavilion. The impressive scale and finish of the buildings are testament to his dedication and hard work.
He also oversaw the restoration of the College gardens, recruiting a passionate and highly-skilled gardens team to transform the site, creating the beautiful and tranquil spaces that we enjoy today.
We are hugely grateful to Neil for all that he has done for St Hilda’s and wish him the very best for the future.
Stepping into the role of Head of Estates is College Surveyor Alex Horsfall-Turner. Alex has been with the College for three years, and, in that time, has worked closely with Neil on buildings management and maintenance. We look forward to embarking on the next phase of our building works with Alex at the helm.
Neil has been instrumental in delivering the College’s recent building programmes, notably the JMQ, the Anniversary Building, and the Pavilion. Our thanks go to him for these development achievements.
I wish Alex every success in his new role as Head of Estates and in further developing his career with the College.
