The new Anniversary Building and Pavilion

St Hilda's Telethon 2021

The 2021 telethon will take place from 22 June to 7 July. A group of fantastic students will be calling alumnae to give you updates on College news and events, to find out about your life after University, and to seek support for the College's exciting projects. You can read about our individual callers below.

The telethon has taken place nearly every year since 2008. As well as being a great way of catching up with our Senior Members, it is an important fundraising event. The College relies upon philanthropy in order to continue providing the world-class education and supportive learning environment of which we are so proud. Our students will be asking, on behalf of the College, for regular donations to support our bursary programme, student accommodation and facilities, Access work, and the Library, all of which goes towards ensuring current and future students get the most out of their education at St Hilda's. Since the last telethon in 2019, St Hilda's has been very busy! We have completed the transformation of the entrance to St Hilda's, providing fantastic new accommodation and facilities in the Anniversary Building as well as a spectacular new riverside Pavilion. We have also, of course, had to deal with the many challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, to make sure that our students and staff are kept as safe as possible - often at great, but essential, expense. In addition, we have provided more bursaries than ever before, enabling our students to continue their studies at a time when many of them have been unable to supplement their income with paid work during the vacation. None of this would have been possible without the support of so many of our alumnae, and so our telethon team will also be calling to thank you for your past donations.

Our students are looking forward to speaking to you, and we hope you enjoy your call!
