Sarah Baxter - History, 1978

Following the completion of her History degree in 1981, Sarah Baxter worked as Copywriter for Penguin and Publicity Manager for Virago Books respectively. In 1987 she became a freelance journalist, and by 1988 had become a reporter and then news editor for Time Out Magazine. Sarah then became a political correspondent for New Statesman before joining the Sunday Times as a news review editor in 1996 and subsequently as Washington correspondent.

Sarah is currently Deputy Editor of the Sunday Times newspaper, Editor of the Sunday Times magazine and non-executive Director of Times Newspapers Holdings Ltd.
