What’s the best thing about St Hilda’s?
The best thing about St Hilda's is the welcoming atmosphere and community spirit. People here are really friendly, which makes it so much easier to adjust to an entirely new environment, especially as a first generation university student myself.

What’s your favourite place in College and why?
My favourite place in College is the new riverside area where you can see all the punts go by. The views are great and it's a great place to be social outside, especially in Covid times.

If you could raise money for one thing to help students what would it be?
I would love to raise money to help fund travel for St Hilda's students, for example, for the medical elective in 6th year. This fund could provide so many opportunities for students to go abroad to different places and experience different cultures. As a medical student, I would really appreciate the extra funding for the elective to expand the possibilities of where I could go.

Why should alumnae give to St Hilda’s?
I think donations from alumnae to St Hilda's have a huge positive impact on student wellbeing, whether that is from improvements to College facilities or funds for students to use. I also think it's a really good way for alumnae to stay connected to the College after they graduate and see the impact of their donations in person when they come back to visit. Current students and staff members alike really appreciate the donations from alumnae and it is a nice way to help future students get the best experience of St Hilda's possible, as I'm sure the alumnae had during their periods of study at the College.

If you have received a bursary, scholarship or grant, how has this made a difference to you?
I have received the Student Academic and Research Support Grant, which I used to help fund an iPad and pencil to help with my studies. This has greatly helped to reduce my note taking time as I can annotate documents and lecture slides instantly, making the whole process of studying much more efficient. It has also been helpful for keeping everything organised and in one place, from tutorial notes to lecture notes and so on. I also received the ECA grant to help buy equipment for sparring in TaeKwonDo. This allowed me to compete in the 2020 OUTKD Varsity competition and achieve a Full Blues award.

Can you give an example of an activity or event run by the JCR that you have particularly enjoyed?
I really enjoyed the JCR Entz formal in Michaelmas of this year. After a year plagued by Covid, there weren't many in person social events happening; however, we still got to experience one formal in the Dining Hall. We got to see lots of other members of the JCR after a very long time and eat good food in good company. I really missed the social aspect of being in the Dining Hall and seeing everyone together. This was one of the highlights of my term and I look forward to many more events like this in the newly built Pavilion!
