Rachel Fairhurst is awarded the Turville-Petre Prize by the Viking Society for Northern Research
Our alumna, Rachel Fairhurst (English, 2018), has been awarded the 2021 Turville-Petre Prize by the Viking Society for Northern Research. The prize is awarded annually to the student at the University of Oxford who has best distinguished themself in the field of Old Norse studies. The award was made on the basis of Rachel’s outstanding performance in her Old Norse final examination.
Having been awarded the 2021-22 Rosalind Jane Bairstow Bursary, Rachel is currently studying for an M.A. in Medieval and Renaissance Literary Studies at Durham University, focussing on Old Norse language and literature.
Til hamingju, Rachel!
