Professor Helen Swift, Fellow in Medieval French and Communications Fellow at St Hildas, has been appointed as the next Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead for the Humanities Division. She will shadow the current Lead, Professor Jane Garnett, in Trinity Term before taking over the role in Michaelmas Term.

Helen comments: "I'm grateful for the opportunity of succeeding Jane in this role. As I listen and learn between now and October, I look forward to collaborating with colleagues and students to address such critical issues for the intellectual, interpersonal, and infrastructural fabric of our working lives."

Helen recently completed her term of office as the University's Assessor  and reflected on EDI priorities in her demitting address.

We congratulations Helen and wish her every success in her new role!
