Professor David Wulstan, former Lecturer in Music at St Hilda's, has died.

We are saddened to hear of Professor David Wulstan's death. Professor Wulstan was a Lecturer in Music at St Hilda's College from 1965 to 1979 and remained in contact with the College throughout his career. He was a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford and later held a number of other distinguished posts. Known as a pioneering figure in the understanding and interpretation of early music in general, and of music of the Tudor period in particular, Professor Wulstan was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Musicians and the founder and conductor of The Clerkes of Oxenford. Professor Wulstan died from pancreatic cancer on May 6, 2017, aged 80. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
