Professor Catherine Schenk authors a chapter in the Bank for International Settlements' new publication to mark its 90th anniversary
The Bank for International Settlements marked its 90th anniversary with a new book on its history since 1973. The book includes contributions from six eminent authors, including our Professorial Fellow in Economic and Social History, Professor Catherine Schenk, who each look at the BIS’ role in fostering financial stability from a different perspective.
Promoting Global Monetary and Financial Stability: The Bank for International Settlements after Bretton Woods, 1973–2020, edited by Claudio Borio, Stijn Claessens, Piet Clement, Robert N. McCauley, and Hyun Song Shin,was published in April 2020 by Cambridge University Press. It includes a chapter on The Governance of the Bank for the International Settlements, 1973 - 2020 by Professor Schenk.
