Aris Katzourakis holds a Tutorial Fellowship at St Hilda's and is Professor of Evolution and Genomics and Royal Society University Research Fellow. He teaches undergraduate students on the Biological Sciences degree.
Aris Katzourakis' research is based in the Department of Zoology, and is focused on the evolutionary biology of genomes, viruses, and selfish genetic elements. A particular field of interest is paleovirology, the study of ancient viruses over prehistoric or geological timescales.
