Medical Help 

Doctors' Surgery (Weeks 1-8):

The College Doctors, Dr Antony Maddison and Dr Emma Walker, are available for appointments either in College at the times below, or at the Banbury Road Medical Practice. Please book your appointment for either location by calling the practice on 01865 515731.

  • Monday 4.00pm - 5.00pm (Dr Walker)
  • Thursday 3.30pm - 5.30pm (Dr Maddison)
Nurse's Drop-in Surgery (Weeks 0-9):

The College Nurse, Caroline Smith, can be contacted by email or in Wolfson Building, Ground  Floor, Room 4. Mrs Smith is available in College each day during term (weeks 0-9 inclusive) for general consultation as well as providing help on specific medical matters. She has a drop-in surgery in College from Monday to Friday. You will find information about other medical services in the Student Handbook.

  • Mondays - 12.30pm - 3.30pm
  • Tuesdays - 10.00am - 1.00pm
  • Wednesdays - 8.30am - 11.30am
  • Thursdays - 10.00am - 1.00pm
  • Fridays - 8.30am - 11.30am

NB there will be some variation to the Tuesday time in Week 0 of Michaelmas Term.

College Counsellor (Weeks 1-8):

The College Counsellor, Melissa Barkan, is on-site on Monday afternoons each week. Appointments can be made by contacting her at counsellor@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk. Any student may also contact the University Counselling Service to arrange an appointment. 

Welfare contacts

Students seeking general help or advice may always consult their Personal Tutor or College Adviser. Note that there is also a separate Welfare Panel within the College and details on the membership of this Panel for the current academic year are to be found displayed on the Decanal Notice Board in South Foyer.
