Lantana Publishing is one of ten new start-up companies selected to join OXFO L.E.V8 at Oxford Foundry
Lantana Publishing, which has been selected to join OXFO L.E.V8, is headed by our alumna, Dr Alice Curry.
OXFO L.E.V8 at the Oxford Foundry is the University of Oxford’s newest accelerator, designed to support and nurture early-stage start-up teams affiliated to the University. The programme takes in up to 12 high potential ventures throughout an academic year.
Alice Curry (English, 2002) is the CEO of Lantana Publishing. Lantana was one of 235 applicants and is the only publisher among those selected. Lantana produces inclusive books for children by authors and illustrators from around the world, with the aim of giving all children the chance to see themselves in the books they read. Alice hopes that Lantana, whose award-winning titles have already received high praise from the publishing industry, will be able to use their experience on the L.E.V8 accelerator as a catalyst to take the business to even greater success, as she explains:
'I'm incredibly excited to begin the OXFO L.E.V8 accelerator programme. As a company, Lantana has no shortage of passion, but to receive expert mentorship at this critical stage in our evolution will allow our team to reaffirm our goals and forge ahead with greater confidence that we can achieve them.'
Many congratuations to all of the ten companies selected for this opportunity, especially Lantana. Find out more about them here.
