Elizabeth Maconchy Archive
St Hilda’s College holds the papers of the composer Elizabeth Maconchy, DBE (1907 – 1994), who was elected an Honorary Fellow of the College in May 1978. The collection contains almost all the manuscripts of her compositions, as well as printed scores, sketches, press cuttings, and programmes and some correspondence. Information about her published works, together with biographical material, is available from Chester Music.
