Dr Gareth Evans is awarded a Snorri Sturluson Visiting Fellowship by the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies

Dr Gareth Evans, our Rebecca Marsland Lecturer in Medieval Literatures, has been awarded a Snorri Sturluson Visiting Fellowship by the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies in Reykjavík. Dr Evans will spend four months at the Institute this summer working on his next monograph, provisionally entitled The Poetics of Emotion in Saga Narrative.

Dr Evans also delivered the closing keynote lecture of the Emotion and the Medieval Self conference, held at the University of Iceland, 25 - 27 May. His talk was entitled Affect Aliens in Saga Narrative.
