Dr David Tew holds a Tutorial Fellowship at St Hilda’s and is an Associate Professor in Theoretical Chemistry. He teaches physical and theoretical chemistry to St Hilda’s chemistry undergraduates.
Dr Tew read Natural Sciences, specialising in chemistry, at Trinity College, Cambridge, graduating in 1999 with first class honours. He obtained his PhD in theoretical chemistry from Cambridge in 2003. He worked as a post-doctoral research associate at KIT in Germany, and held a Royal Society University Research Fellowship at Bristol before returning to Germany as a Senior Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart.
