DANSOX Summer School

DANSOX (Dance Scholarship Oxford) hosts three exciting summer intensives. International artists, writers, choreographers, and guests explore themes of creativity and dance-making in relation to other arts. All welcome, drop in any time to watch the processes of all three unfolding. Please book places for public sharing events.
1. 11th-14th July. Alice Oswald with Saju Hari and Dancers
The Professor of Poetry, Oxford, collaborates with internationally renowned contemporary Indian dance and martial arts expert, developing work for APGRD All-Night Epic in 2023.

2. 15th-20th July. Thomas Page Dances: Commonalities
Thomas Page Dances develops new dance work and discusses the themes of commonality in relation to dance theories, histories, practice.
11.30am 15th July: Public Keynote Guest Lecture. Alastair Macaulay, “Commonalities, Communities, Utopias”
5.30pm 20th July: Public Sharing of TPD’s work+Q&A.

3. 21st-25th July. Deborah Norris, Rambert School +Guests: Women and Choreography
An exciting choreographic intensive with students of the Rambert School and the Royal Scottish Conservatoire.

5.30pm 25th July Public Sharing: “Woman-Made! An evening of new short ballets created by women +Q&A.
