Information for Applicants (2019 entry)
Candidates who apply or are allocated to St Hilda’s in the first instance will receive an acknowledgement email from the College towards the end of the week beginning 22nd October. If you are expecting to receive this and it does not come through to you by 26th October, please check your junk email inbox before emailing email@example.com.
Most Oxford courses now require applicants to sit admissions tests. Please consult the University’s website for further information. Please be aware that if a candidate does not register for the relevant test by the published deadline, it is likely that the University will not be able to consider that candidate’s application further.
It is important to check whether written work is required as part of your application, for your chosen subject. Written work needs to reach the college considering your application by 10 November 2018 at the very latest.
Applicants being considered by St Hilda's College should either submit written work via our online form, or send the work via post to: The Admissions Officer, St Hilda's College, Oxford, OX4 1DY, England.

Submitting Work Online:
If you choose to submit your work via our online form, please ensure you read through the instructions on the form and check you are able to submit the work as a single PDF document. If you are unable to do this, you should send the work via post.
Submitting Work by Post:
Work should reach us by 10 November, and you should ensure you have adequate postage.
- Each piece of written work should have a completed cover sheet.
- Written work may be typed or handwritten, but it must be legible.
- Photocopies are acceptable.
- Work should be sent unfolded, with a completed cover sheet.
- Work should be A4 size, single-sided and not stapled.
- Make sure you keep a copy of the work, as we are unable to return it to you.
If you are required to come to Oxford in December we will send you a formal invitation. We will make every effort to dispatch the invitation to interview in good time for you to make the necessary travel arrangements; usually we aim to provide a week’s notice, but please note that in some cases this may not be possible. We would therefore advise you to check the scheduled date of interviews for your course when you are applying so that you have an idea about dates when you might be required to attend an interview, if shortlisted. For UK students meeting the eligibility criteria for financial hardship, there is a scheme to fund interview travel, more details will be included in the interview invitation.

Please note that candidates may not be required to be in Oxford for the full time shown for their subject in this timetable. Further details will be available closer to the time.

All candidates resident in the UK, the European Economic Area (EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland are expected to come to Oxford for interview in December if shortlisted. Candidates (with the exception of those applying for Medicine) who are resident outside the EEA and Switzerland should let the College know whether they will be able to come to Oxford for interview in December if shortlisted. Further details about how and when to do this will be available nearer the time. The college may interview international candidates who cannot come to Oxford via Skype. Candidates who have been interviewed will be informed of the outcome of their application on 9th January 2019. All candidates will be notified of the decision via UCAS and by the College via email.
