The Space

The JdP has a beautiful spacious exhibition area in the Brian Duke Foyer.

This space is light and airy with a flexible hanging system.

Over the last five years local artists have staged numerous successful exhibitions.

Music Inspired Art: Classical Characters

I wish to not only capture the musician whilst he or she is playing, but also the feeling I get from a piece of music. I do this by making quick sketches and letting the pen move in a kind of dance on the paper, to the music. I was inspired to start doing this while I was in Prussia Cove, Cornwall, helping at a musician's retreat. Over the past few years I have spent several weeks living there, observing musicians while they are training and performing. I try to show something of their personality and that of their music in my art work.
