Many different kinds of people flourish at St Hilda's; to everyone's benefit. No applicant receives preferential treatment, nor do we favour one type of school background over another. In addition to home applicants we welcome applications from mature students, those who wish to do a second undergraduate degree, visiting students, and students from overseas. We are flexible about deferred entry if you wish to take a gap year, though we do have to bear in mind overall subject quotas for any particular year.

You are welcome to contact us about any part of the admissions process. Heavy training in interview techniques is unlikely to give you an edge over other candidates, and there are no golden rules to observe during the interviews themselves. Tutors are practised at listening sympathetically and putting you at your ease. Above all, it is in the College's interest to spot and nurture potential.
