Triona Adams - English, 1996
Triona Adams gained a distinction in the Text and Performance MA course at King's College London in collaboration with RADA in 1999. Having been a senior drama agent at International Artistes, she moved to become Head of the Drama Department at Chris Davis Management.
When she was 26, Triona left her life as a showbusiness agent to become a nun, hence ’The Lemon Squeezer’ (Radio 4 Afternoon Play) and 'Nun the Wiser', a one woman show that she wrote and performed at the Edinburgh Festival and on tour. She is a regular speaker at The Barbara Pym Society, and The Times Oxford Literary Festival. She is now Programme Director of the St Hilda’s College Writers’ Day at the Festival and Chair of the Mystery And Crime Conference Committee. Triona has acted as Assistant Director at Bampton Classical Opera for the last two years on ‘La Grotta di Trofonio’ (2015) and ‘The Divine Comedies’ (2016.) Her adaption of the letters of Philip Larkin and Barbara Pym, ‘We used to correspond’ has been performed at The Bodleian Library, St Hilda’s College, and Harvard University.
