'Tastes of Honey' by Selina Todd is among the Guardians best paperbacks of the month

Tastes of Honey: The Making of Shelagh Delaney and a Cultural Revolution by our Tutorial Fellow in History, Professor Selina Todd, is among the best paperbacks of the month recommended by the Guardian in November.

In this 'splendid and illuminating book' Professor Todd tells the story of the dramatist and screenwriter, Shelagh Delaney, who she describes as the first postwar playwright to show that women “had minds and desires of their own… a radical proposal in the 50s”.
