Giving to St Hilda's
Why We Need Your Help
The days of student grants which benefitted generations of Oxford students are long gone and government funding continues to diminish across the University as a whole. Sustaining the excellence of a St Hilda’s education costs on average £16,000 per undergraduate student per year. This is roughly double the amount we currently receive in fees and government funding. Despite increases in student fees, the gap remains as government support for teaching in key areas is reduced. Like most colleges in Oxford, we must rely on endowment to cover this shortfall so that we can continue to offer the best possible educational experience to students.
Today, more than ever before, St Hilda’s needs your help to be able to plan for the future with confidence. A bequest can help to preserve the tutorial system and close graduate supervision that are the hallmarks of an Oxford education. The support of Senior Members and friends is vital to the College and plays a central part in securing the College’s future. All gifts make a difference!
