Oxford Open Doors
Open Doors has returned to Oxford for 2021. This year's theme is "Oxford Re-Opens Doors".
St Hilda's will be offering tours of our Library (11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm, and 3pm), which is in Hall Building, the oldest part of the College. Some of the treasures from our archives will be on display, including some from our founder, Dorothea Beale's collection. Each tour will have a maximum of 10 people and will be on a first come, first served basis. You will need to wear a face covering (unless exempt) to join us on the library tours.
Come along at 1pm for a performance by vOx Chamber Choir!
Visitors will be able to take self-guided tours of our wildlife-friendly grounds. Trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants and wildflowers have been chosen to encourage pollinating insects and the Suffregette Border recalls our late-Victorian heritage. In 2021, St Hilda's re-opened its doors to a transformed site, with two new buildings: the Anniversary Building and a Pavilion overlooking the river Cherwell. St Hilda's gardens have been redesigned to embed the buildings in the distinctive green space of our riverside setting.
