Vassilis Athanassoglou is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics. His main interests are in Difficult Airway management and Regional Anaesthesia. His particular areas of research interest are in apnoeic ventilation and high flow nasal oxygenation especially with regards to airway management and enhanced recovery with regards to regional and orthopaedic anaesthesia. Dr Athanassoglou regularly teaches in national and international courses in the above subjects. He teaches Undergraduate medical students at St Hilda's and within the Medical and Surgical Divisions.
