Eileen Myles hosted St Hilda's Feminist Salon
We were delighted to welcome renowned New York poet, essayist, novelist and screenwriter, Eileen Myles, who hosted our Feminist Salon on 9 March 2018.
Myles read from their new book, Afterglow (a dog memoir) before leading a discussion and answering questions from the audience in their characteristically original and riveting way. Afterglow, Myles's first foray into memoir, paints a kaleidoscopic portrait of their beloved confidante, their dog Rosie. In Myles' words, the reason they are a writer is that no one can stop them- 'you become autonomous.' Follow the full discussion with the audience on Twitter @hildasfemsalon. The full recording will be available shortly. Listen here.
