Dr Anna Ridley

My research focuses on investigating the phenotype and function of T cells from patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis and other inflammatory arthritidies. I am using cellular techniques to examine Th17 cells and identify factors predicting a positive outcome to treatment, thereby allowing treatments to be tailored to individuals. I joined Paul Bownness's group in 2009 as a research assistant and undertook my DPhil at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine.

Prior to joining the University of Oxford I trained as a Clinical Scientist in Immunology at Southampton General Hospital and then was involved in clinical trials monitoring at Oxford BioMedic.
