Clementine St John Webster's portrait of Dr Marie Tidball is among those on display in 'The full picture: Oxford in portraits'
The full picture: Oxford in portraits displays new portraits of a diverse range of people selected from over a hundred nominations of living Oxonians. The portraits – mostly paintings and photographs – include a mixture of men and women and feature people with disabilities, people from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, and people from LGBTQ+ communities.
Among those that were commissioned to reflect Oxford University’s diversity is a portrait of former student of Wadham College, Dr Marie Tidball (2002, Law), which was painted by St Hilda's alumna Clementine St John Webster (Biology, 2008).
Dr Tidball is a research associate in Oxford’s Centre for Criminology and a disability rights campaigner. Clementine St John Webster is a classical artist who studied classical painting and drawing at London Fine Art Studios after graduating from St Hilda's.
You can see the exhibition at the Weston Library, 24 November 2017 - 7 January 2018.
